1.) Erratic income is a bureaucratic nightmare when living on welfare programs for the disabled. Thus, there is no incentive to try and monetize my writing. And I'm too sick to make a living at it (besides, who is actually managing that on Substack?). I write simply for aesthetic pleasure and self-expression.
2.) Blogger is free and easy to use. Plus, I've developed a sentimental attachment to it after twenty years.
